Randal Simmons

Officer Randal D. Simmons was the first LAPD SWAT Officer to lose his life in the line of duty in the history of the Los Angeles Police Department. Randy, as he was known by many, lived his life in a manner that inspired myself and others to use all of our God-given abilities to help someone else in need. Randy and I shared a great love for the game of football and a greater love for young people. In May of 2007, Randy invited me to partner with him to build a sports training facility that would not only meet the athletic training needs of student athletes, but it would also meet the many social developmental challenges of today’s young student athletes. I invite you to join with me to help make Randy’s vision of a safe, nurturing place, where young people can reach their full potential, a reality.
